what does supporting the troops mean
What does supporting the troops mean?
Just because people are against the war doesnt mean that they are not supporting the troops. I am writting this to make that clear to people. I do not support the war in any shape or form, but i support the troops. They are over there dying for there country with honor and dignity, which is more than i can say for most of the lazy, fat, Americans over here.I hate this war and I am one of those people who believe in peace on earth, but stop critcizing the young men and women who are just trying to do what they think is right for their country.

I agree with just about everything here. The only thing I take issue with is that you say "what they think is right for thier country". It is the right thing for our country.

I also believe that most Americans live in this sort of fantasy, make believe world that we service members do not carry guns that hurt, and sometimes kill people. We do all of that, and then some.

I don't necessarily agree that we live in a fantasy world, although I will say many in this country do not know what it is like to kill someone. I did not sign up for the military, like many did, however that is a life choice. I don't think America will be out of a war anytime soon, next will be Iran, I wouldn't doubt them starting the draft again. Just my opinion of course

If you are a leftist idiot it means 'bring them home" while simultaneously disparaging them. Fuck the left.

>>>If you are a rightist smacktard, it means "leave 'em where they are to get shot at for no apparent reason" while simultaneously patronizing the living shit out of 'em and cutting off their VA benefits.

i agree with you so much i think as americans we just like to think of them as little boys playing video game or something, but that is not it there is no game over, try again. You get one shot at life and that is it. All I am saying is that I hate this war and what it is doing to people, but I also have so much respect for these people who are giving there one shot at life up to stand up for what they believe in. No matter what cause it is for I think the most honorable thing any one can do is die for something they believe in.

no fuck you. All you seem to know how to right is some shit about liberals or any one else who disagrees with you. Maybe if you took you head out of your ass, and actually thought about some of the things other people had to say with an open mind, you would have something more educated to say other than, " Proudly reviled by the looney left since 1999!!!"

What does it mean to support the troops?
Is the only thing required to support the troops, a declaration of support? How do you support the troops? Do you write them letters? Do you send them boxes of goodies from home? Do you enlist? Do you comfort their families? Do you conserve on fuel? Do you attend rallies?
Or is the extent of support limited to a bumper sticker and a stated position?
