Given that it would take months, possibly a year to bring the military home, what happens if we are attacked, or if Azlan starts their own government right here in River City. The National Guard is gone, all the reg. military is gone, and it takes several months to get them home. Who is defending the US?

It would be up to the John Q. Public. It is already getting to the point that you can't trust the government to protect you. So, I have my guns and rifles, am a pretty good shot, and would protect my friends, family and country with my life if the need arose.

freedom, I always thought you were a country girl. Yes it would take at least 9 months to redploy the troops back home. As to the need for the military in the states, we still have enough Guard, Reserves and active duty to get things started here.
