Rumsfeld was special envoy to Bagdad during the Reagon Administration.We sold weapons and gave Iranian troop positions to Iraq during the Iraq-Iran war.
Check government documents and news stories from that time.

Graybeard posted the Iraqi law which stated that a person could not be executed after they turned 70. Saddam was almost 70, if it went on a few more months he could not be executed.

The article implied that Saddam had secrets that the US wanted to suppress and that is the reason he was executed so fast(?). It is no secret that we supported Iraq during the Iraq-Iran war. |
