Republican Chuck Hagel even interupts her when she tries the good ol' Condi Neo Con whitewash...for you Reps on here, you might want to call your Rep representatives fast because this plan is gonna go down in flames due to Republican votes.

Senate opposition to Bush plan grows

You sound happy about this. More troops will only help us in Iraq!

just so you know. congress holds no authority on this. You know the seperations of powers. So the dems can bark all they want but it is the same dems who gave the president the tools needed to go to war. That is why he is called the commander in cheif. And sending in more troops lies in the jurisdiction of these tools voted on by most democrats back in 2003

The funny part is all the posturing from the dems when they know they cant do a thing about it. Power doesn't have to scream and shrill to be listend to.........

the Democrats if they fight this then they look bad and lose out on the next election. The majority of Americans are not in favor of pulling out of Iraq, only the extreme left is.

How about lets get the right plan for more troops and consult more people than just yes men for the administration. A simple concept my friend, they have never really done this.

Like I said before (as well as other DEM) the time was two years ago and at that time he should have send 200,000 to 300,000 more. So what happened? Not once have I seen anyone on the right in this forum explain thier way our of that fine mess. He had every single vote needed to put overwhelming force in there and now he talks of a measly 20,000 troops. This ain't an "all you can eat lunch special" where he can keep going back for seconds...the lunch counter is about to give you a diet. His plan does have to pass through congress BTW.

Wait a minute, yes congress wants to strut and look at his plan but the Dems and also the Generals have said that they need more troops. In fact Wes Clark says the same thing, so what is the problem now?

And how will this plan fail or not help at all?
