Things you may have missed in the ISG Report
The Iraq Study Group made the following recommendations to President Bush
- Divide Jerusalem and give Judea and Samaria to the PA, a terrorist regime;
- Give the Golan Heights to Syria, a terrorist state;
- Invite the terrorist states Iran and Syria to a peace conference, and exclude Israel.
Personally it sounds to me like the ISG wants to try to buy peace in Iraq by handing Israel over to the wolves.

Where have we heard this before? Does Chamberlein and Hitler come to mind? Does the phrase "Peace in our times" ring any bells?

Absolutely!!
I don't even know why this was a part of their discussions or report. Their mission as I understood it was to determine the best approach to dealing with the situation in Iraq. Then they throw this garbage in there under the title of "Wider Regional Context". It sounds to me more like some folks on the ISG decided to use their time on this group to further the anti-Israel agenda that didn't get pushed through before. And that REALLY ticks me off. Especially when they begin their garbage with the words; " No American administration --Democratic or Republican-- will ever abandon Israel", then turn around do exactly that in the report. I'd like to know what history these folks are reading that they still believe that this so-called "land for peace" farce will work.

I think what the educated statesmen were trying to point out (and it this something keeps alluding the President because Iraqis are still killing everything) that this conflict is something MUCH deeper than just the Iraq question, but question of what lies at the heart of this issue.
Your idea of forgein policy is to wipe all Muslims off the face of the earth. I mean let's be real honest here... that's what you really want. I am still waiting for one of half crazy Neocons to admit it, but that is what your foreign policy would be.
By the way before becoming President Bush admitted that he would focus on domestic policy because HE KNEW NOTHING ABOUT foreign ISSUES.

You'll have to purchase the book "State of Denial" by Mr Bob Woodward. I have it in his ipod audio book, so I can't copy and paste.
The truly facisnating thing is who he made this comment to... see if you can find it.
Do you own the book?

I think you are wrong. I believe they were just taking the opportunity to do an "add-in" to their report that included issues they wanted to have a say in but didn't really have the authority to deal with, ie: Israel.

What sick accusation. Just because I detest what the Arabs are doing to Israel does not mean I want them all murdered. Just because I speak out about Islam does not mean I want all Muslims murdered. Nowhere have I even implied such a thing and I resent you accusing me of it.

Maybe we should look into it rather then continue down this path to nowhere that we have been on for decades. Something about the present situation is not working. As many millions of people who think muslims are the wolves, that many millions will say Israel is the wolf. We need to break out of this circular thinking becuase it leads back to the same place.

RIGHT! Let me see them sell that idea to Israel. Liberals will NEVER pull their heads out of the sand. If they did they would see that there is NO WAY you are going to appease the Muslim Terrorists. They want it all. They want you dead. Questions?
