Default Why didn't Saddam stand trial for gassing 5,000 Kurds

I will tell you why, dead men don't talk. Had Saddam stood trial for the gassing, it would be on record that Reagan-Bush had blood on their hands. It seems that gassing 5,000 cvilians would surely merit a trial, if he was tried for 148 why not 5,000????? Where is Chemical Ali, shouldn't he be next???

Someone started a thread on this. I think it is titled Gassing the Kurds. I think if Saddam had been brought forth on gassing the Kurdish Villiage his lawyers intended to use CIA documents in his defence and possibly even Rumsfeld. That could have looked a little nasty for us. See that thread for all the links.

Why should he stand trial? We know he did it. Why give him yet another death sentance?

Ok, you don't get it. It's not your fault. Keep your head up and win this war.

And you have failed to explain it to me i guess! Avoiding an arguement is fear of defeat!

No, you just don't get it, you don't understand. My point was he should have also beeen tried for the deaths of the 5,000 kurds. I suspect that he was not tried for such an egregious crime becuase then he would start naming names of who provided him the gas and Saddam's testimony would implicate members of the Reagan-Bush Amdiministration. It seems that 5,000 is worse then 148, so why not go for the 5,000 dead Kurds??

Because we know that he did it! Hell, our country doesent even have or use the nerve agents saddam uses. Are you saying we sold it to him? We just study it for defensive puposes only! What an amazing liberal twist on a great outcome in iraq! God forbid there is progress or good news in iraq! You just cant have that can you spitty?
