if you had read many of my other statements on bush firing rumsfield you would see the same answer. its all to boost an approval rating! i have said this once and i will say it again! i vote conservative because its the lesser of two evils and lets face it! the liberals dont have a good track record when it comes to the military! they have clinton to thank for that. i am discusted that bush fired his sec of def and going along with the main streem public on the iraq issue just for more approval! he is in an election state of mind and statements like the one he just said can get peopled killed! Remember that we are winning in the iraqi economy, building an army, and a strong govement! insergency is on the rise though! i think its amazing that we can accomplish our mission agensts so many enemys! we will continue!

I think the main point is this was GWB’s first admission that we were not winning. He did state that we were not losing as well.
I think it is a positive step and I don’t condemn him for it…I just wish he had had the epiphany a few years earlier.

a cnn poll from febuary 26, 2003 put the number of americans favoring an invasion of iraq at 68%.....now the numbers are reversing.....so bush is NOW making military decisinons based on polls and popularity??....what makes you think he wasnt in febuary of 2003?? or when he was talking about mushroom clouds over chicago. i see this as a pattern and do not believe shit the man had to say...is saying...or will say......and he will no doubt...leave the iraqis and military high and dry if the public asks it of him. its hard to win a war without a brain or a spine.
