I wish liberals cared as much about the American workers who are being put out of jobs because of illegal immigrants as they do about terrorists. Who cares if they aren't released on time? We have more important priorities than to transport terrorists sypathizers.

Are you so shortsighted that you cannot see that abusing human rights and keeping innocent people in prison while"fighting for the Iraqi people" It is the americans that think like this and that little pin headed hillbilly Lyndie England who forced prisoners to have simulated gay sex and tortured them for her own entertainment that puts our military in danger and deters other nations from supporting us. Right now we have Saddam on trial for human rights abuses at Abu Ghraib(he should be) and then we let some trashy scum like lyndie(who manged to get pregnant by some other guy in a latrine) between her photos of all her perverted torture. Do you see anything ironic in this? She has since had the kid and got a slap on the wrist. She put those in Afghanistan and Iraq at the time in such danger as they were out trying to get the goodwill of the ordinary citizen and promote our"goodness" When I hear people talk about killing all or torture you put yourself as a peer of Saddam. Rumsfield hid out during this scandel instead of standing up for this great country and speaking out to the world on why we would invade a country to prevent the dictator from abusing his enemies and then join in with worse. Anyone on this forum who has that rhetoric I picture them as fat cheeked little Lyndie grinning at the camera while she undid what millions of americans stand for and fought for in this country.

What a bunch of mental masturbaters.!@!

For the record, I was the first person to stick up for jj's right to speak his mind.

However, that does not give him free license to plagiarize, make unfounded personal attacks against people he doesn't know, lie, and misquote people for the sole purpose of discrediting them.

Doing so unnecessarily. It is the manner in which he conducts himself that I find objectionable, not his "differing views". As I said, there have been a few times I have agreed with him. But now, for me, I don't even care to read those.

The thing that goes laughably unnoticed by jj, is he had a chance to get respect from both sides, (probably not agreement per se) if he had stuck to his arguments instead of hauling off and calling someone an "old fuck" for no apparent reason. Twisting someones words around to fit your needs and putting words into peoples mouths that it's obvious they didn't intend is unacceptable as well. Taking sentences out of the context of the paragraph they were in for the purpose of making pithy little statements and personal attacks is extraordinarily bad form.

How unfortunate that one has to take an otherwise well stated position and then consider the source. JJ gets no more than he deserves.

Actually, he gets FAR more attention than he deserves.

I am not short sighted. What bothers me is that you guys so concerned about getting these guys freed. They are not being tortured. So relax. They will be returned home when we can do it. Chill. As far as Lyndie, its over its done with. The responsible parties were dealt with. The thing is hurting our troops is when we keep harping these things and plastering the news with it. Besides if you are on a field of combat with no uniform and a gun you deserve what is coming to you.

As you can see from the forum no one is ONLY concerned about the detainees deemed innocent. It is just if they have been identifed as such we oppossed the just kill them or torture them approach. Remember that kind of rhetoric is how Saddam got where he is today.
