What's an "Illiberal"? Don't try to define me... you will only show more of your profound ignorance. Those that know me here know that I'm not a fan of either side (left/right, Lib/Con). They both SUCK!!. I am for what is morally right and judiciously just. PERIOD.
Also, most folks here have learned not to use "over-the-top" rhetoric such as "Holiday Inn" service to describe a US detention center.
Furthermore... I did not say a thing about your right to speak. Your free voice was never in question. I am a voracious defender of everyone here to speak their mind. NEVER have I told anyone on these boards to go away, shut up, or otherwise silence themselves. And if you had bothered to do some background reading on these threads, you would have seen that we have already gone several rounds on sentiment you raised. But since you missed it, here is the gist of it...
We are a nation of LAWS, MORALS and VALUES as set forth in the U.S. Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and the U.S. Code, among sacred American documents.
Simply put, if you can't use a particular measure of force on a detainee/suspect/inmate here in the U.S. to stop the rampant gang violence here, then it should not be allowed anywhere we operate. Holding to these principles gives us the moral high ground, which in my opinion is far more important than the pitifully small amount of accurate intel we've gathered from the amoral tactics you so blithely defend.
As Leaders of the Free World, we have an obligation to those that looked to us for strength and inspiration, as the first free society in the history of the world to conduct ourselves with the highest moral character.
