You are wrong buddy, the military was being dismantled starting in the late 80,s by Bush Sr and then continued by Clinton. I was wearing the uniform then and remember it very well.

Our soldiers are in the meat grinder as you put it, first of all because Saddam was supporting terrorism. Secondly to help save the Iraqi people from an evil regime

That's because the arm's race was over... the soviets fell and cash could keep going out. The military should have been resized. You can't disagree with that even if you did wear the uniform.
