Bullshit, Rummy! They got you by the short hairs. Shrub said he's staying the course even if only Laura and his dog support the war. So why would the Iraqi Army risk their lives? Just like ARVN (the Vietnamese Army), they're not going to risk getting killed for pocket change. Tough shit, Rummy but "Shrub broke it, Shrub bought it"

OK, I am going to agree here with the others wanting you to supply the link, I want it too; I would like to see the context this is said. I found it in a search from numerous CBS news affiliates but the links will not come up for me, and I do not have weak machine.

What I did find is that it is an AP story, or part of one(?).

Do supply links or the source even if you have people that would normally agree with you. I don't like to believe or trust something until I have seen the source or a credit is given.

Donald Rumsfeld says that "sooner rather than later," the Iraqis will have to take over their own country's security. The Pentagon chief notes "it's their country" and that they have to "govern it" and "provide security."

He adds that "the biggest mistake" would be to make Iraq's government dependent on the U.S.

Rumsfeld says military commanders will speak to President Bush tomorrow about the situation. He notes that U.S. officials are also working with the Iraqi government to come up with some projections about when they can take over different pieces of responsibility.
