What Is The Line?
when does iraq go from a ill planed war that we have some grip on, to an all out loss? what if things do not get worse or better? how long should we stay if this is the case? what is the line for victory or defeat?
almost always mistakes if not owned and dealt with, become bigger and bigger. i am afraid the mistakes leaving iraq will dwarf those that got us there to begin with.

Well, Army Chief of Staff, Gen. Peter J. Schoomaker says he plans to keep the current level of troops in Iraq (141,000) until 2010. You're living in a dream world, Pete! The American people won't stand for it.

ok lets use wwII as the example. in that conflict we engaged the enemy no matter the cost. we could care less if we built japan or italy or germany into democracies until we kicked their ass. everywhere on the planet until they said give. the president is not fighting it like a world war......i know, i know, its not the same now right??? which is it??????

the round about questioning of my loyalty and patriotism to this nation is very silly if you cant defend the argument that you on the right frame. is it iraqi freedom? is it a world war? it seems to be a failure no matter how you compare it.
thank god your attitude wasnt popular in wwII. to win you have to make up your mind.

I would put odds on the scenario that the democrats assume power and ESCALATE the war in Iraq.

Skinny,
I'm beginning to think that is the only thing we can do at this point....escalate it. We need more boots on the ground. That was true from the very start, but no use crying over spilt milk.

Won't disagree. I wonder if support for the war will grow if a democrat is the one doing the escalating?
