Default military poll

I just read in our local paper(very conservative) that top military brass has an independent pollster take of poll of those currently serving in Iraq and over 72 percent felt the invasion was without patience planning and in error. We are three years into it and 400 billion in debt and Iraquis are having more civilian murders then before . Saddam could have been removed without Bush playing his "war president" costume that he bragged about.

ididnotvote4him don't tell me your paper if very conservative. That's your opinion. Let us know what newspaper and we can judge for ourselves. BLIND FAITH IN WHAT YOU SAY IS NOT RATIONAL.

It is a local paper and believe me where I live the newspaper and the majority are far right. This is not typical of most of the northwest but it is where Ilive. I canot give the paper because then I disclose the city I live in. Now it is a right leaning paper but still fair and not crazy like Fox. they do present editorials from both sides and other papers both left and right. My city voted 68 percent Bush even though my state went blue for Kerry. You see the city I live in has is more rural and uneducated then other northwest cities. Educated people from the university, physicians, firefighters, teachers, in this area most people with a college degree voted Kerry. But the majority of the population are not very political and not educated and most comment about bush and their support of him was that he was not an intellectual and they could relate to him and his drinking problems. It was more of a bond than a political idealism. Most people on this forum regardless of views seem politically aware just have different views on how to achieve the same thing. The general public votes for different reasons.

ididnotvote4him says, "Now it is a right leaning paper but still fair and not crazy like Fox."

Now you have piked my interest. Since several have accused me of getting my info from Fox I have actually started watching a few of their programs like, "My word" and "Orielly". Now they tout their opinions but I have so far not seen anything crazy so would you be specific on something they have said that is crazy. Sounds like to me you are denigrating the broadcast but again you are not being specific. Do you actually watch Fox? Seems to me that is the only way you might know of something crazy. Otherwise, you are merely passing on heresay which is typical of uneducated people with an agenda who get there info from left wing websites.

Oh, by the way, Oreily was pro port deal while the guy on "My word" was against. What other major news source has split opinion? This fact seems to me to belie your accusations. That's about as fair and balanced as you can get. I found Oreily reasoning sound while the other guy (can't remember his name) was more of he just didn't like the deal (no substance).

I listen each day to to CNN and Fox and on the weekends i tune in to cspan. It is more arduous and that is the only time I have for that much detail. Last night I tried to listen to fox to hear the spin but was disgusted because they had an expert from"Star" magazine another tabloid they own. Really research Fox and listen closely and compare and you sound smart enough to recognise it. Fox is not respected by intellectual republicans. It is the tabloid station and Oreilly is probably the worst. When I have more time I will go into detail and site sources and how the station came into being. You can research it yourself if you want. Oreilly is a hypocrite loud mouth bully that thinks hes smart because he can manipulate middle America. If you research him personally you will think Bill clinton is a choir boy. His emails are contrived, he stirs up hate and tells outright lies. He does not strike me as the kind of person you would respect. George Will is right wing but he is factual and his opinion is well thought out so i can hear the other point of view. Oreilly is a joke.

Oh another interesting point about fox when they have a person speaking for the other point of view they are dictated by corporate headquarters to get an inarticulate person who appears weak or immoral. The panel of experts they bring forward is laughable. During the election several anchors were fired because they spoke up when told to cut out any parts of Kerrys speeches that were solid and not present them. CNN does not do that.

I asked you to state specifically what you thought was crazy. All you do is mouth off what anyone can read from left wing web sites--nothing specific. Now you state they fired several anchors? When? Who? I occasionally watch the station but seems to me they have the same people on the channel that they have had for as long as I have watched. So name several anchors and the programs they anchored. I don't believe you ever watch the programs.

The above quote is pure rubbish. Be specific. What is crazy. Tell me any position they have touted that is crazy. What expert is laughable? They have several former generals. Seems to me that they would be more respected when it comes to what is going on in Iraq than politician and many still have conections to the Pentagon; please, I beg you what specifically you see that was "crazy". Your words.

Well I am going to the Beach and will be gone for maybe a week. I will read your specifics when I get back. That should be enough time for you to invent something specific.
