The fact is, the war in Iraq is not going as planned, if there was a plan, and sadly you and 39% of Americans either don’t get it, refuse to accept it, or don’t care because it has nothing to do with your agenda.
I have stated my positions in other posts; I can justify my beliefs and opinions without resorting to character assignations and innuendo. I am every bit the American as you, I have every right to voice my opposition to our governments policies
… just as will do following the elections.

Call me a pessimist, but I think a large number of politicians lie or at least say things that benefit them the most politically even though it may not be entirely true. I hate to say it....but I don't think Bush is any different. But, I will say that some of the statements on this board (like the 9/11 conspiracy) are way over the top. Of course, you had those who thought Clinton had Vinced Foster murdered. You've got zanies on both sides....what do you do?

You know, the intel was flawed has been said over and over again. I'm not sure I buy it. Intel by its nature is very grey, seldom are things black and white. Some indictators pointed to Iraq having WMDs, others pointed to the opposite conclusion, but most, in all honesty, probabably pointed to no conclusion.

Well, Gix, but that's part of being American. People have a free voice. To me, if you take that away, that's an even bigger victory for the terrorists. A "victory" in Iraq, whatever that means, would be a good thing...I'm not sure that it crushes the Jihadist movement, but it doesn't hurt.

The trouble is, Gix, based on everything I have heard, this thing was screwed up from the get go. And because of that, we find ourselves in a pretty bad spot. It's hard for me not to bitch at or about those currently in charge.

And to be honest with you the left has been the sole proprietor of the venumouse fealings towards this conflict in iraq and the general fight on terror. And thats why i see the lefty's who say bush lied and bush is a failure as one as the same as alqueda. Because thats what they are.

Well, I don't know if the left has been the sole proprietor of all the negative feelings toward this conflict. There have been plenty of those on the right who have shown their displeasure as well

It is good to hear from logical heads. Certain posters seem at a loss for words, or are otherwise occupied.
