Interesting segment on ABC News tonight on a home video shot last year of a convoy of Halliburton trucks escorted by the U.S. military that came under attack after the lead military driver took a wrong turn into bandit country. Anyway, the military split and the Halliburton people were in deep doo-doo. Four of their trucks were knocked out and most of the drivers killed before the military returned. BUT, to add insult to injury, one of the Halliburton drivers that survived, though wounded, was FIRED by Halliburton. Tragic but true!

And people bitch about how much Haliburton makes.

Haliburton workers make 3-5 times what they would be paid here in the States. Why do you think that is? BECAUSE IT IS DANGEROUS.

you said people bitch about how much HALIBURTON makes, not its workers. anyone that works in iraq at a civilan level deserves all of the money and medicine they can get. what ever a haliburton employee makes you can be sure they make 100 fold for the company. the head of haliburton is in no danger.

I think your paraphrasing of the story is lacking some information.

Link it. Then post how much a military solider makes vs. Haliburton employee. I've met alot of rotating contractors coming back from Iraq and they are sheerly there for the money, maybe Haliburton needs to military train their own people?
