Maybe the Question should have been "What would you do if you were HITLER".
You are scarier and more of a lunatic than Bush, Cheney and Hitler all in one.
What gives, was your mother drinking radioactive waste water while she carried you for 9 months.

That is very good news if accurate.

It is. I will explain it. DU has a half-life of 4.5 billion years. What is a half-life? It is the time it takes for one half of the radioactivity to "leak" out.
In a radioactive substance, atoms of one type will suddenly change into something else, releasing particles and energy. Think of them as tiny A-bombs. Lets take substance X with a half-life of one week. We will start it with one million atoms. The little A-bombs go off completely at random. There is no way at all to tell when any particular one will go off. At the end of one week 500K will have gone off, leaving 500K remaining. During that week you are going to get a lot of energy released.
During the second week, half of the remaining bombs go off 250K leaving 250K. Third week 125K. Fourth week 67K and so on. At the end of a year, you won't have many left.
Now let's do the same thing, but a half life of 4.5 Billion years. One million atoms of DU. At the end of the first week, it is highly unlikely that even one of the tiny A-bombs go off.
But the average person know little about radioactivity. So if you tell him that something will be radioactive (No matter how slightly) for over 4.5Billion years, it will scare the crap out of him. So the left, wanting to make the US look bad, lies about DU.

Frightening I just read this and there was only one or two that asked the question..attacked by who? Most just went off on an emotional knee jerk fer right response of hell yes.
Yes I would want retaliation if attacked but I would want a well thought out intelligence gathering of who and what. most of you sound like emotional alarmists. thak god most of you have no authority because you just want to bomb the entire muslim world.
This group minus a few thoughtful responses needs a babysitter or a forum moderator.
Such simple minds. Maybe we need a basic IQ test before people are allowed to vote. some on this conversation were so macho so emotional they did not even discuss the attack or attackers.

You know you are right. The FEELINGS, and P.C. should be taken into account before we try to defend our Country, and our lives. You will be just as dead from a Russian, Chinese, or Islamic nuke. but we should talk about it first......Maybe ask Kofe, and the Third Wolders, at the U.N. if it OK to defend ourselves.
Thank God you wouldn't pass the emotional tests to EVER be in a position of responsibility.

I think Level made a good point. I would want to be sure we were attacking our attackers. Otherwise we end up in a war that is pointless and costly.
It is not a matter of being politically correct but being smart.

So instead of discussing my response, you resort to name calling.
I simply am aware that the way to win a war is to make your enemy crap his pants at the mere thought of getting into a fight with you. And you do that by smashing your enemies into the dirt. That isn't PC, but it is reality.

That's what they get for being one of the "usual suspects".
The problem with treating it as a law enforcement problem is that you have tied your hands if you can't find courtroom style "proof" of guilt. So somebody could nuke us once a month, as long as they covered their tracks well enough, and even though you strongly suspected who did it - YOU WOULD DO NOTHING.
The list of suspects would be pretty short, so hit all the usual suspects.

We thought we had that before, but hindsight is always 20/20 and so that still leaves us with.. what are you gonna do? Not what are you gonna investigate for years afterwards? Not what are you gonna think about doing while the bad guys get away? And not what are you gonna judge the rest of us gulity of after someone else attacks this country; but what are you gonna do if we get attacked again? That was the question, remember?

What makes you think no one here has any authority?

Exactly what does voting have to do with it? Or is this your way of getting your digs in and claiming that some people on a certain side of the political fence are dumber than you? That would mean you're about the only one here to drag this thread through the political gutter and the only one to infer that everyone else here has a lower IQ than you; our in-house kindergarten teacher.

Once again, so what? Who are you to judge what direction a thread should go or what constitutes "so macho"?
