In fact, the US media repeats many of the Al Jareeza news reports.

BTW It matters not if a surge works, or a purge works, or a daily power meeting works. We are there for the long run, just like in Germany and Korea.
Get used to it bud.

It does matter.
Some of us never get used to what is wrong. The Iraq debacle was wrong, is wrong, and will continue to be wrong.

Wal-Mart has good products for a fair price.
If you do not believe me, ask Hillary and Obama's wife, they both worked for Wal-Mart.

No, I know and I did not intend it as a cheap shot. I was looking at it as an all-encompassing type of sentiment. Let me clarify. I live in a good neighborhood and I really would rather 'it' somewhere else than my place. I did not intend to address the war at all but rather the idea. Sorry, probably the wrong place to present such an idea but I'm not going to start a thread about it. Perhaps I'm just grasping at straws.

Well it was outside the frame of the thread so you're fine, no need for apology but I appreciate it. As usual, good talking Heckler.

Horrible comparison.
First, Germany was able to become an immediate Democracy on the Western side, they had Democratic style of governing before Hitler under Hindenburg...not the East, we NEVER occupied or had troops in East Germany.
We have been as far as the 38th parallel in terms of occupation in Korea, We have never had occupying troops in North Korea.
We have had troops and bases in Turkey, we can and will pull back to their.
Being IN Iraq would be an idiotic idea.
So yes, it will be like the two examples but our troops will GET OUT of Iraq and be statntioned at a nearby country (possibly). We are very stupid to be staying in Iraq, there is no reason to.

Is not our presence in Iraq to thwart the influence of incoming terrorists created by the vacuum created by our invasion?

What does the Al Qaida's occupation create, a love for elementary school bus bombings?
Some of us never get used to what is wrong. The Iraq debacle was wrong, is wrong, and will continue to be wrong.
Are you speaking of the Clinton/UN oil scam that slaughtered 500,000 innocent Iraqis and created this world-wide Jihad that have killed over 2 million people in 63 countries? Many know it as, the biggest blunder in the history of mankind.
