There is so much stuff going on in Iraq that people don't know. Everyone is just pissed because the surge is working and things are getting better.

Bush consistently said no timetable....the timetable was a strongarm Democratic tactic that forced Bush's hand. The troop buildup was needed to curb the growing violence that would have been implemented regardless.

The troop buildup was needed to try and correct the situation we created by fucking up on two levels in the first place.

First, we shouldn't have gone into Iraq.

Secondly, since we did, we should have gone in with enough force to better control the situation.
