Well, all I remember is the U.N. inspectors begging and pleading with Hussein to let them in and Hussein swearing not to do it by the hair of his chinny-chin-chin. I also remember this going on for about TWELVE YEARS.

So, once the U.S. finally got a President with some balls, and once that President realized that 9/11 changed the way we have to deal with the rest of the world, that President took care of the U.N.'s problem for them and ensured that the war on terror would not be fought on American soil.

The UN is the UN. This current administration would have done the same thing even if Jesus Christ himself were heading up the UN in 2003. The facts remain that the intelligance which came out of the DOD was wrong...no 'yellowcake,' no WMD', curveball was extremely unreliable as a source, and there was NO link between Al Quida and Saddam (read Baker/Hamilton). So, the UN was right and was exactly on point with what needed to be done and what they were doing. The UN was thrown to the side in order to get a war that Wolfowitz and Cheney really wanted.
