I don't think the numbers will make the families of the dead feel better now that you have put it in your version of perspective. Have a heart. Spending foolishly ,risking soldiers lives because of our bad policy to go into the wrong country that had nothing to do with 9\11 is what you should be thinking about.

No I don't. I do know the pain of losing loved ones abruptly and it hurts like hell. Unfortunately Ive had more than my fair share of loved ones sudden deaths. Your numbers aren't reflective of the real cost and they can't be. For every 1 soldiers death you have devastated 10 to 15 family members for life too. I say again have a heart.

10 to 15 family members? Your off by about a couple hundred or so. Direct family arent the only ones who feel it. We do too. Ive been through a dozen memorial services and spoken at two of them. When a soldier is lost, the squad feels it, the platoon feels it, the company feels it, even the battalion does.
