Republicans begin to gloat about the "surge" and how well things are working in Iraq, up pops a suicide bomber who blows away 100 civies in Baghdad and a couple GIs. It's almost as if they are reading your mail.

That, and the fact that 2007 was the deadliest year to date in Iraq really punches holes in the surge was working.

Now, I understand the Bush and Co are pushing countries to help in Afghanistan. Good thing all are backing away. Everything Bush touches turns to money for him and crap for everyone else. No wants his crap anymore...

Question is--were democrats happy to see this suicide attack--so they could gloat?

Extremists "recruited" two mentally handicapped women--strapped bombs on them--and directed them into crowds of people before detonating them. I wouldnt label these two women as "suicide" bombers--but I would label an enemy that sinks to such levels--the absolute scum of the earth--and an enemy that needs to be defeated--and an enemy that is being defeated thanks to the surge--that is working.

Are democrats hoping for an increase in violence--an increase in civillian casualties--an increase in US troop deaths--so they can continue to play politics with the lives of our soilders?

The really interesting thing about that suicide bombing was it was done by two WOMEN with DOWN SYNDROME! More an act of desperation then anything else. The insurgency has been thoroughly whipped.

Good thing people like you arent making decisions right now. Sorry, we wont let you snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Attacks are down, the insurgency has been pushed from Baghad, the Anbar province, Diyala province, and the entire southern area of Iraq. Anbar province is about to be handed over to the Iraqis, the 10th of 18 provinces.

Al Qaeda is struggling to gain a foot hold in the north as Iraqi reinforcements flood the area, political reconciliation is moving forward, the awakening councils throughout Anbar and the rest of the country are keeping Al Qaeda from repopulating the area as infrastructure continues to build upon constant improvements. Losing? Im sure youve been saying that since March 2003.
