what started the war in iraq was a lack of intelligence (government), preperation (government), and persistance (citizens) by the american people. We have been over there how many times now and we still have settled nothing. We patrol the world trying to spread democracy like the crusades. We just had a nice shove back into it with 9/11.
If you want my honest opinion, we should just admit that the reason we are there is for the oil. Take it, cause we are sure as hell have to get our money out of this sinkhole we have created somehow. Democracy will not survive over there and even if we do force it. As our country has proven there is no such thing as freedom and laws in the same country although we do try. Money controls all and the sooner everyone figures that out the better off the world will be.
Oh yeah 9/11 was partially because of Clintons wonderful military cut backs but I can not say anymore on that subject. Not to mention Clinton bombed a set of Osamas heroine fields too. There is just a conglomerate of things that caused the war. I could probably sit here all night and just list things where american and iraq keep poking at each other. Just like we are and have been doing with Iran. Anyone who doesn't think we are going to end up at war with them is seriously mistaken. It is inevitable. They have oil too LOL Nukes are just an excuse. Kinda like WMD's in Iraq.
