If you are currently enlisted in the military and want out.
If you are currently enlisted in the military and want out, follow 1st Lieutenant Watada's lead!
Thank You Lt. Watada - Home Page
We continue to express appreciation and stand tall with Lt. Ehren Watada. He remains the single military officer to very publicly oppose the war. Lt. Watada stated his reasons clearly and each day exhibits great courage in his lonely military environment.
For his act of conscience in refusing to deploy to Iraq, the military tried him once unsuccessfully. By attempting to convene a second trial, they violate his rights under the 5th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, which protects any constituent -- military or civilian -- from being tried twice for the same charges, when the reason for ending the trial was arbitrary and an abuse of judicial discretion.
We thank Lt. Watada for remaining steadfast in his belief that the Iraq War is illegal and unconstitutional. Metaphorically, he is the lone person standing before the tank. As Lt. Watada continues to be prosecuted, let us tell him and the world that he is recognized. He is appreciated, and he is not alone.
Keep Lt. Watada's case alive and vital! Send a note of thanks to acknowledge his true patriotism and ethical, responsible understanding of duty as a citizen and as a military officer.
Encourage others and convey your message to Lt. Watada via e-mail to action@thankyoult.org

Inspired by Lt. Watada's courageous stand, a team of lawyers has committed to defending him "at cost". This is a precedent-setting court martial, and costs are projected at $30,000 or more. We are also committed to support Lt. Watada through any appeals process.
Equally important is the public opinion battle as Lt. Watada's supporters nationwide call on our government to honor his resignation and acknowldge his rights and the rights of other resisters of conscience.
It's time to address the legality of the Iraq War and occupation. The Watada campaign is leading a regional and national mobilization against the war and in support of Lt. Watada.

Much easier than sending, why not just drop it off at a national guard base ? If you tell them what it's for, I'm sure they'll forward your wishs.

You need to brush up first of you are only protected from being tried for you life twice. That means your trial has to carry the death sentence or life in prison. Two military court martial is way different than civilian law and the govt. owns your ass you have the right to get fucked in the ass if you violate the contract you made with them. There is an article it has been a while but I believe it is Article 134. 134 is a general article that can cover anything hell they can charge you for using to many squares of ass wipe son. As far as Lt. wadfuck he is a disgrace not because he disagrees with our involvment in Iraq but something much more important that little pussies like you would never understand but I'll tell you anyway. See he has not only a duty to the oath he took but more important he has a duty to his troops and at the very least he could go over and make sure they are ok and taken care of and not made to do anything that would go against legal and compatent orders. If you don't get that then that means just because they are over their they only have the right to kill those trying to kill them. He could be the example but instead out of fear of thinking of himself only he chooses to refuse to go because. Don't kid yourself boy this Lt. is a disgrace to the officer corps, officers lead from the front not in the rear using the excuse he does not agree with the war to camoflouge his yellow streak. A coward dies a million deaths inside before he actual dies. Maybe you still don't get it then watch the movie a few good men the statement the two PFC's made at the end listen close.

Look, he took money from the military to finance his education, once you sign the contract you are obligated regardless of your political feelings regarding what front you will fight on. They need to kick his ass out and go after his income to re coup the money invested in his education and it needs to be done publicly.
