Not sure what standards you set, but when even the Liberal media grudgingly admits it's working it probably is.

liberalmomma--the democrat owned media doesnt tell us to believe the surge is working--they dont mention the surge--they hardly mention Iraq--because the surge is working--we are winning--and the democrat investement in defeat isnt going to pay off as they hoped. The promotion of victory and sucess is not liberal in nature.

I guess, I should have expanded my thoughts. Yes, violence/death has slowed, but the main focus of the surge was for the Iraqi government to take over some control of their own government. That has not happened. Not even close.

Also, many other countries have pulled out of Iraq, from various areas, thus also cutting down on the death numbers and violence.

Some reporter heard some other reporter say "hey, I think this might be working" and it caught on. The media is too stupid to actually research anything.

The last point is, usually for something to be considered a success, that means it has serve the purpose for which is was intended. So, how exactly has this served the purpose for which it was intended? When will the Iraqi's step up? Never. We will be in that shit hole of a country until the end of fuckin' time.

Yes--the talking point heard from every democrat when asked about the surge. The focus of the surge was to bring down violence and give the Iraqi government a chance to function. The surge worked--violence is down--the Iraqi government has been given a chance--its just too bad there are so many liberals in Iraq.

Not sure exactly what you mean by that--but it seems your saying the presence of foreign troops on Iraqi soil is causing the violence. Are you saying if the US withdrew all its forces tomorrow--violence would decrease? Would Iraq return to the most peaceful and pleasant place on Earth--as liberals tend to portray it--that is before evil America had to ruin everything.

Liberals demand 30 second wars--and insist a functioning government should only take a day or two to create. Now back to the real world--we are making progress--despite the lack of progress in the Iraqi liberal government--there is still a lot of progress being made n other areas. In case you missed it....
