    Default Was it even justified?

Whatever you want to say of the war's success doesn't matter, there is still one glaring question that remains - was it valid?
I mean was there any cause for war at all? It would appear to me that there was none besides 'oh Saddam looked at us funny'.
The facts are clear - no wmds, no links to terrorism, no threats - no reason at all to go to war.
Is there anyone who would disagree? I mean sure, you could say Saddam was a brutal ruler - but that isn't a good enough reason. With that kind of principle why haven't we invaded North Korea? And besides the US had the chance to execute him at the end of the Gulf War - so who are you fooling with that king of talk.

So can anyone really say the war was justified in any way?

He was a communist and one of the creators of 9/11, therefore True Americans HAD to Dispose of him. The Islamic World MUST be Stopped.

Unfortunately, it did us little good because then OScummy and his communist Kenyan ACORN Islamic terrorist friends invaded America from the inside. We didn't stand a chance.

Sharia Law is coming to the shores of America soon unless we GET HIM OUT.

    correct.

There was, and remains, no serious, rational, or moral argument against America's belated—but, ‘better late than never’—intervention in Iraq.

It's one of those things where the pros & cons of argument were pretty lopsided, and really, it should not be that controversial among reasonable, and reasonably well informed people.

the decision to allow sadam hussein to stay in power after desert storm was a mistake, his actions after the war (basicly genociding his people, the kurds, and everyone in the north and south), those in charge underestimated the strength ofhis grip over his people and hoped that there would be a succesful rebelion against him.

and on the point of North Korea, the USA currantly has over 300,000 troop stationed in South Korea and the only reason they don't invade again is because they hope the nation will crumble on its own, and fear the use of WMD's agains South Korea, Japan and US bases in those nations that would be almost certain if america was to attack again.

    War in Iraq:

We're all just pawns in the world theatre of polictics. We will never know what the reason for that war was......nor why Kennedy, King and Kennedy were 'KILLED'. Let us hope
that someday, someway, we might receive some answers but in the meantime, realize that PAWNS have no say. I'm not sure what happened to our foreign policy. Washington argued that we should "stay out of foreign entaglements." Seems as though it changed with Wilson, who was trying to "make the world safe for democracy." If we believe that our way of life is superior, starting wars is not the answer, we should work on setting a good example instead.
