WHO WAS GLORIA STIENAM TEACH
STAND BACK WHILE I BETRAY ANOTHER ILLUSION
savethemales.ca - Gloria Steinem: How the CIA Used Feminism to Destabilize Society
The CIA's "Project Mockingbird" involved the direct infiltration of the corporate media, a process that often included direct takeover of major news outlets. "By the early 1950's," writes Deborah Davis, in her book "Katherine the Great," the CIA owned respected members of the New York Times, Newsweek, CBS and other communication vehicles, plus stringers, four to six hundred in all." In 1982 the CIA admitted that reporters on the CIA payroll have acted as case officers to agents in the field. Philip Graham, publisher of the Washington Post, who ran the operation until his "suicide" in 1963, boasted that "you could get a journalist cheaper than a good call girl, for a couple of hundred dollars a month."
the CIA also may have used Timothy Leary. Certainly the agency distributed LSD to Leary and other opinion makers in the 1960s. Leary made a generation of Americans turn away from active participation in society and seek fulfillment "within." In another example of the CIA's use of drugs to interfere in domestic politics, Gary Webb describes how in the 1980's, the CIA flooded Black ghettos with cocaine.
Man loves woman. His first instinct is to nurture ("husband") and see her thrive. When a woman is happy, she is beautiful. Sure, some men are abusive. But the vast majority have supported and guided their families for millennium.
Feminists relentlessly advance the idea that our inherent male and female characteristics, crucial to our development as human beings, are mere "stereotypes." This is a vicious calumny on all heterosexuals, 95% of the population. Talk about hate! Yet it is taught to children in elementary schools! It is echoed in the media. Lesbians like Rosie O'Donnell are advanced as role models.

I think you are right on this every 30 year idiocy.
Now what the hell does Gloria Steinem have to with any of this? She was from my mother's era. I think she is like 70 years old.

The only thing I'm confident will happen in Iraq, regardless of the type government the US leaves, it will be replaced by an authoritarian theocracy within a very short period of time.
The lies and misstatements that started this current war, have their origins in, at least, three places; Iraq, the Democratic Party, and the Republican Party. Claiming one Presidential Administration is at fault is as intelligent as saying one Party has all the answers.
Wake up America. Get rid of these lumps that have been in Washington for 15, 20, or 40+ years. They have not done the job.

I agree....it's also possible for a more sectarian authoritarian government....along the lines of the Shan of Iran...to take hold as well.

In general, I agree with you....there is plenty of blame to go around including Bill Clinton and his Administration. However, I do believe that the Bush Administration led the charge for this action in Iraq...without them, it doesn't happen. So, I personally reserve the biggest chunk of the blame for them....in this particular case. If we start talking about Vietnam, well, then it shifts to the other side of the aisle, IMHO.

Teak I think too you are generally right.
i also think SM is correct in the detail. The one of personal responsibility for the decision. The Bush administration practically salivating at the mouth before 9/11 was determined to go after Iraq. I am pretty certain they did not think it would come out this way.
Lastly the whole democracy in Iraq is a sad ...sad joke.
I never have heard anyone talk seriously about what the hell that really means, what's involved & how that would be implemented.

Yep, Bush led the push. But I won't even try to guess what would have happened, or when, without him. My crystal ball doesn't work any better on the theoretical past than it does the future.

Maybe if they & we used Reagan's personal psychic it would have been different.

YOU HAVE A CLAIRVOYANT RIGHT HERE
THE EXORCISM: ATHEISTS TO CREATIONISTS - The Godscience Manifesto
ya silly homo............ehehehehehe..........WHAT ....ya don't believe in REMOTE VIEWER CLAIRVOYANTS :-I
THE EXORCISM:
ATHEISTS AND OTHER BLIND SKEPTICS
"I regard the existence of discarnate spirits as scientifically proved and I no longer refer to the skeptic as having any right to speak on the subject. Any man who does not accept the existence of discarnate spirits and the proof of it is either ignorant or a moral coward. I give him short shrift, and do not propose any longer to argue with him on the supposition that he knows anything about the subject."
—Professor James Hyslop, Life After Death
As religion is often the furthest thing from God, science is often the furthest thing from the facts. In The Natural History of Stupidity, Paul Tabor tells a story about a demonstration of Edison's new invention, the phonograph at the French Academy of Sciences in 1878. A physician by the name of Du Moncel said a few words and then turned on the phonograph, which suddenly began to talk and exactly repeat what he had recorded only a few minutes before. Suddenly another doctor in the audience jumped up onto the stage, grabbed Du Moncel by the throat and began screaming: "You wretch! How dare you try and deceive us with the ridiculous tricks of a ventriloquist!" The attacker went to his grave refusing to believe that a machine could duplicate a human voice.
Author Tabor points out that science itself is often the greatest obstacle to human progress:
"How much did mankind pay for the stupidity of doubt? If all useful and important inventions would have been introduced without the carping and the obstructionism of the stupidly skeptical (for there is, of course, healthy and commendable doubt, too) we would have had a smallpox vaccine long before Jenner, steamboats before Fulton and airplanes decades before the Wright brothers. Sometimes the stupidity of greed and the stupidity of doubt combine in unholy alliance—as in the case when a big combine buys up an invention threatening its monopoly and suppresses it for years, perhaps forever... The first conquerors of air and water were foiled by the scientific experts. But the pioneers of the railways fared no better. Official science dismissed them with a sneer; they said that no railway engine would ever move, for the wheels would keep on turning in the same place...(and even if they did) such speeds were unnatural and would cause mass epidemics."
