Well, I don't know about their generals...but, the whole die for the emporer thing really was stupid...they took pride in dying. They never armor plated their aircraft (like us) and by the end of the war...they had no trained pilots (unlike us). I imagine the same is true on the ground....retreat and fight another day aren't bad tactics in certain cases, but the Japanese prefered to die for the emporer.

Um...yep...it would've been nasty. The Germans as a fighting force were a much tougher fighting force than the Japanese....of course, they had to face both the Soviets on one side and the Americans/English on the other.

It was Germany First cause White people in a civlised nation were getting there asses kicked. The Asians were sub human and the Rubber plants were Americas problem only. Not to mention N Africa was logisticly easier then the island hopping planed for latter. I think the unarmed aircraft wasnt so much a sucide thing as it was a lets fly circles around the american Flying pigs of the day like the old Buffalo.
As for smitty making any case about Japnese being tougher then the Germany well we already know hes a total fucking idiot so there ya have it.

I haven't, NOYB...I've never been a member of the US military service. But,....I work for the Department of Defense....and, obviously, have some knowledge in this area. I have deployed with the Navy (on the carrier) as an analyst....I hope I haven't lost your respect, NYOB....
