Is it okay to mention Armenian genocide ...
NOW??? I mean, since Turkey is about ready to attack our Kurdish allies 'n all?
ANKARA, Turkey - Parliament on Wednesday overwhelmingly approved a possible cross-border offensive against Kurdish rebels in northern Iraq, although the government appears willing to give diplomatic pressure on the U.S.-backed Iraqi administration more time to work.
Lawmakers voted 507-19 in favor of empowering the government to order the military to cross into Iraq during a one-year period, Parliament Speaker Koksal Toptan said. They then burst into applause. -AP

This is really confusing George. If a friend attacks a friend, which one is the enemy? Do two friends make one enemy?

Armenia was the 1st Christian country ever I believe, and supposed spot of where Noah's Ark landed on Mount Ararat. The Armenians were kicked off of their land by the Anatolians. No one cares if they died it seems.

Well, we are there now, so what do you think our reaction will be?
Stand back and watch them get slaughtered or intervene?
I think it will be the former. Then there is an even larger problem on the ground in Iraq.

>>>I'm not sure the Kurds who are terrorizing the Turks don't deserve to be slaughtered but, either way, we'll back the wrong pony.

Henry Morgenthau, the US Ambassador to the Ottoman Empire, wrote: "...the whole history of the human race contains no such horrible episode as this. The great massacres and persecutions of the past seem almost insignificant when compared to the sufferings of the Armenian race in 1915."
Armenian History, chapter 9: The First Genocide of the 20th century

They where kicked out by Turks. Armenia is way North East of ANatolia near Georgia.
When Greece swapt Turks for Greeks living in Anatolia and Trezibond, there where few if any Anatolian Greeks left. Armenians where wiped out to take there land and property. Russia saved them from complete Genocide.
But it needs to be recognized that Armenians where genocidaly massacred by Islamic Turks. I dont care who you are, its a fact of history. Denying history is ignorant and counterproductive to society in the long run.
