Here they come , 20 retired US generals have spoken out against the war in Iraq.

This is article well worth reading it explains the military code of ethics that keeps soldiers from speaking out while in uniform and active. It says have this many retired military speak out against the way a war is being run is unprecedented. I guess it serious enough to make them feel they must.

It also gives historical facts about the generals who have retired and spoken out against war like in the Vietnam conflict.

It is good to see that these generals care more about the men under their command than about taking some heat from politicians because they tell the truth.

I'm going to try and find some transcripts of what these generals have said in its entirety if anybody has any please post it.

The point is this is unprecedented in military history.

Generals do not speak out against the way commanders in chief handle wars. Certainly not 20 of them .
