Old news...but none the less, you don't invade sovereign countries based on such conflicting intelligence; that is for damn sure.

I agree with you, Heckler... but by the same token, if you look at the legal case against Iraq with a cold eye, there isn't much of a case against the US and UK that the invasion was somehow "illegal". But just because they were within their rights to go into Iraq doesn't necessarily mean it was the best course of action to do so.

I don't know much about international law....what is that based on?
I know they violated a bunch of UN sanctions....

While I can't make an educated comment on the legality, I do believe it is an immoral war....based on the fabrications the administration used to justify it.

If the intent had been to help the Iraqi people that would be different. The evidence, and the administration's flip flopping attempts to justify the invasion, doesn't back that position (IMO)

I think the Elephant in the room was when Colin Powell started looking like a dumbass trying to convince us that trucks hauling rifles and ammo to military bases where mobile chemical weapons labs...

How moronic was that...

I applaud Powell for leaving that idiotic administration.

I think its apparent they lied to Powell too.

the man is honorable and got out as soon as he knew they had lied.

I’ve always thought that if the UN would have stood united behind there own resolutions that Saddam would have let the inspectors do there job. I also think he should have been taken out the first time we we’re in Iraq.
