Default The Iraqi Government...

Does anyone see an Iraq future without blood being shed daily?
It's really hard to imagine a peaceful Iraq...
The Governmnet is split like a large supreme pizza...

No, because they reflect the sectarian divide in the country as a whole.

What about the next administration, Cat, what do you think their first move should be?

The next U.S. President's administration will have to find a way out of this maze of lies and deceptions... I don't think the cut and run scenario will work...

OK, I assumed you meant after our elections in 2008.

First, I do beleive what analyst Thomas Ricks said about it a week and a half ago. There are no good choices for the next administration, they are all bad because no one looked forward to see what the realities would be if we took the steps we did since late 2001.

OK, so if I got elected in for 2008 this is what I would do.

Slowly withdraw our troops but just move them back to Turkey or another favorable site which is close by. Keep air and naval units close by but Iraq has to start to not to rely on us and that needs to come VERY soon. Yes, in some respects this has problems but we are creating more problems than we solve with our being directly present there. This is ingrained in many Muslims minds and has a long history that dates back 100s of years...No Westerners in our country of Iraq.

Ya it's called discourse.

Here's the irony. The nut job Ahmadinejad is making the effort to have discourse.

We are not.

Can anyone say Castro?

(ego driven stupidity= US sanctions in Cuba.)

Would you hold a dialogue with a "nut job" that says the holocaust is a myth and wants to wipe Israel off the map? Their "effort" to engage in talks is nothing but an attempt to buy themselves some time to prepare for the inevitable. The fact that were not buying into their BS isnt ego driven stupidity, its a good start.

Iran cannot be trusted, and I think that has been proven in the past...
It's really a slap in the face for the Americans held hostage in Iran when Carter was President... Ahmaddinejad was one of the terrorist, strange that he's now the President...
