Gee we almost had him somewhere by Tora Bora but then things would have gotten a little sticky for Cheney to convince the idiots that saddam was the 9/11 guy we should go after.



You could say we would not be in Iraq but they would have thought of some other tale to spin. Bush wanted to be a war guy he said so on tv and some Americans wanted it..so they could watch it on tv. I probably will end up there when they do a draft...but you can take a picture of my body bag..Bush says no he does not want Americans to see the body bags come home but i think we should see them.

Sure, I want to see how many people walk through this and go through Iraq to get Saddam...how the Europeans would have viewed things...etc, etc...would it have changed anything...I think about it a lot and do really wonder...

Capturing Osama Bin Ladin right after 9-11 would have been the worst thing that could have happened.

Capturing Osama Bin Ladin in Afghanistan would have meant that most of the Democrats in the House and Senate would have felt that there would have been no reason to continue the Global War on Terror. They would have felt that payback was good enough.

The War on Terror is bigger than Bin Ladin. The war on terror is about every nation that thinks that sponsoring terror knows there is a price to pay. Ending the war right after capturing Bin Ladin (if it had happened) would never have made this clear to the nations it needed to be made clear to.

Why do you think that we have not been attacked? Because Homeland Security is doing a bang up job? We have not been attacked because people are afraid of the consequences. Bombing empty tents in the desert may have been good enough for Bill Clinton but it is not good enough anymore.
