Why we are running out of oil
A lot of folks can't understand how we came
to have an oil shortage here in our country.
Well, there's a very simple answer.
Nobody bothered to check the oil.
We just didn't know we were getting low.
The reason for that is purely geographical.
Our OIL is located in
ALASKA
California
Coastal Florida
Coastal Louisiana
Kansas
Oklahoma
Pennsylvania
and
Texas
Our DIPSTICKS are located in Washington , DC !!!
Any Questions???
NO? Didn't think So.

Actually those States represenr a few oil changes. Forget them, forget the Middle East, forget South America.
Montana, Whomong, Colorado, and South Western Canada has more sand oil than ALL of the above combined. At this time cost to extract the oil, from the sand is about $100.00 per barrel. There are 4-5 different companies working FULL SPEED trying to get the cost per barrel down. It will happen, and when it does the Middle East, and South America, wont be able to give their oil away. Got a few extra bucks? Do your homework, and it will be like buying Microsoft stock in 1978.

Geologists and other oil scientists believe there are billions of gallons in the Gulf of Mexico, but the environmentlists get in a tizzy if anyone suggests drilling for it.

Oil Oil Oil....
Way past time for something new.
Sorry, but this is just tired old thinking. Sure, we could drill & pump it all. There are better things to use oil for than fuel. Synthetics.
There ARE other sources of energy. It is stupid NOT to pursue them with a program similar to the space program of the 60's.
The counter to your comment about environmentalists is that people with your view are just shills for the oil industry. They b

Let me guess you don't own a car, won't ride in one, rely only on a bicycle, heat your home with wood, and work at a business that is off the grid. No? Gee pal looks like you are just another Liberal with double standards.

I agree that it is way past time to convert to another source, but it was way past time 20 years ago and we have to deal with the reality of NOW NOW. And right NOW we need to go out in the Gulf and get it and stop hashing and rehashing the need with environmentalists.
Shill for the oil industry? Noooooo. I am a realist. I am self employed and must drive a van to do my work. Is costing between 50-60 to fill up or I have no business period.

Well, I consider myself an environmentalist.
I agree we need to work with current reality. It is even MORE imperative we do something NOW than it was 20 years ago.
It is going to continue to cost more for oil. Implement a real alternative energy program now.

You know nothing about my life or standards.
A resounding "go fuck yourself" to you. Personal attack all you got?
Dipshit.

Which war? It seems to me the wars we have right now are open ended.
(the war on drugs, the war on terrorism, the war on povert)
I think we gave up on the last one, but do you get my point? There is never a reason not to start now if something needs doing, do it now.
Glad you support alternatives....
