No one said anything about rounding up all 20 million, this would be impossible to do anyway. As they're picked up, they would work for six months before being deported. It would be a rotational enterprise, temporary deportation camps could also be erected.
I also agree with holding employers accountable and fining/incarcerating.

It would cost far more to confine them, guard them and feed them than its worth. Hell, our prisons are better than the village most of them live in. Just send them back, and punish those who exploit them.

Lock up those that employed them, deport the illegals. One could take it further. Send the employers to the gallows and the illegals to Iraq and bring our soldiers home. Now that would be justice.

One could argue, they won't fight, I say let them die in the Arabian sand!

For they our cowardice, they choose not to fight to bring about a just Mexico, thus they don't deserve to live at all.

So instead of deporting them, we are going to pay $3,000 a week to house and feed them? Instead of being productive workers paying into our Social Security fund which they will never draw from, we are sending them to a place where they can learn the art of gangsta. Teach them how to act on their anger for having been imprisoned. Force their families to rely even more heavily on social programs to get by while the bread winner is in prison.

Brilliant!
What a way to waste tax payers money... imprisoning people who are working and trying to support their families.

They should be deported and go through the proper channels for temporary work permits. The employers should be fined for breaking the law.

Agreed...

Although, I would add that since it is (on occassion) the employers that entice the illegals to cross the border, that a little jail time for the employers might not be a bad idea. Though, in a perfect world, I would prefer to see them granted the tools to help them get the workforce they need legally.

There already is; they are called work visas. The only problem is, once a worker is here legally, they expect to be paid a real wage. Then withholding must be paid, and the employer's share of SS, and FICA. So once again the employer seeks out illegals who will work off the books, and for less than the worker with a valid visa.

The only way to stop the cycle is to make it so expensive for the employer, who gets caught, that it not worth the risk.

ALL states will have to fight illegal immigration because illegals are in all 50 states.
Do not believe Obama when he says there are 57 states.

I could live with draconian measures. Like this for employers who hire Illegal’s.
  1. $10,000 and 1 year for the first Illegal.
  2. x 2 for each additional Illegal
  3. Business owner striped of citizenship.
  4. expatriated after sentence

So three illegals would be $40,000 and four years then deportation.

Plus 1/2 of all fines collected go to whistle blowers as bounty. The rest would go to enforcement.

Also any bureaucrat who approves any tax payer money (ss or medi care, WIC or food stamps) gets the same treatment.
