You could of course prohibit the possession of weapons on your property - well within your rights.

I guess in reality a better question would be SHOULD I FIRE SOMEONE UNDER THOSE CONDITIONS? What does that say about me, the employer and how long before most of my employees leave for a less controlling boss?
That's how the free market provides equality.

Don't worry about it, Skippy, I'll fire his ass for not polishing his shoes or some other such shit. Point is, he ain't bringing guns into my building or my parking lot. Btw, I've been "the boss" for about 25 years now.

If its legal to have a gun in your car how is it any different from the above?
>>>You don't need a reason, Nate. Just fire him and worry about your unemployment insurance rating later.

In that case I would suggest NOT moving to Florida to open a business, and preventing the election of lawmakers who support such actions, where you do live.

Something people need to realize, there are limits on ALL rights, none of them are absolute, not one.

Just be careful they don't end up costing you more than you can pay.

See, if you wear a pistol openly on a holster it is not concealed. If you have the proper permits you are protected under the law for having it on public property. That courtesy should not extend to private property where the soveriegnty of the property owner is. It is very hypocritical to say he is infringing on someone's rights for firing someone for whatever reason.

It is his business and he should be able to hire or fire anyone who works for him. Unless of course there is a contract signed by the employer that states otherwise.
