Yes what a message! His advertising agency took the AnnCoulter approach of hate and divide. I think he might be successful though I did research at Research Triangle Park in 1988 so I had to live in N.C. for about a month. I think they will eat it up and he may win. Really the campaighn focus was successfful for Bush. Lets see... what is the most pressing problem of the day???????? I know lets show two gay people kissing on a commercial and I will have distracted and wrapped up at least half the votes. Well I am beginning to think a majority of Americans will go for and take all the others down with them.

Exclamation mmm

As you call it "Hate and Divide" or as I call it - Divide & Conquer" Every side is at fault of that!

Look at the anti smokers and how just because they hate smoke they have taken away a persons RIGHT to do as they want with their own body, and in some cases (like in NY) have taken away the RIGHTS of a private business owner to cater to his smoking customer base through self funded and personally financed business ventures like restaurants and bars.

It would be nice to start seeing American's approach issue's with fair and balanced opinions - it is supposed to be JUSTICE not Just Us!

.... but how can that be expected?

Especially when some American's keep thinking that America is legally speaking a Democracy instead of a Republic!

There are MANY issue's that are really screwed up!

The sad part is that most people are complacent and those who aren't tend to be EXTREMISTS!

I don't care for pandering by either side in political ads.

However, I do have a question. Why is it ok to have a pro-gay rally and march but a high school senior has her Salutatorian title stripped away because she insisted on giving God credit for her successes in her speech?

I guess it just depends on whose ox is being gored at the moment.

You are unclear in your question. Did the school that denied the senior her speech allow a school sponsored rally. In my districts public school system a rally would not be allowed to be sponsored by the school and even though the school cannot promote one religion over another a students speech would certainly be allowed to include what guided her. I would have to see the news article or understand the situation and your question more clearly.

The school did not allow the rally. I am wondering about freedom of speech in general. In a country that espouses free speech, people can hold rallies for most anything, but a high school senior who earns the right to speak at her graduation is censored because she wants to thank God in her speech. She did not want to advocate a particular religion. She wanted to thank God.

I hope this makes it more clear.

Wow, I have to think pretty hard about a male Black conservative Republican like Vernon Robinson at the federal level, ie, when the last one was...maybe the guy from Oklahoma (ex-football player, can't remember the name right now)? Am I overlooking one that is already there...hmm?

Yeah, Robinson probably will win, hopefully he doesn't get disenchanted with the party...once he gets there he will have to really toe the line on other issues. Please Republicans...don't roll this guy out as some 'poster boy' for the party, oh how I hate that.
