Some ballpark figures ...
...can't vouch for their authenticity, but I'm hearing that we have spent $400,000,000,000 rebuilding Iraq, but that it would cost only $200,000,000,000 to bail out the mortgage lending industry and allow a few million AMERICANS to remain in their homes. Hardly seems fair, does it? Unless you are an Iraqi.

>>>Oh, I agree. But if I was one of those poor fuckers whose house is being foreclosed on over an interest rate point or two, I'd be pissed as hell that we're giving houses away in Iraq.

George, seems to me that if you bought a house that you couldn't afford to pay for, then you should be pissed at yourself not the goverment.

Nope. I don't play the blame game. It's still the homeowners responsibility to not overspend.

why do i have to pay for the fucking war or people buying houses they cannot fucking afford. we probably only need half the military if we only conflicted for defence and if people are so fucking stupid to buy a house they cant afford why should I pay for it with taxes. i am sick of paying taxes for an overmilitarized society . most of them enlist because they cant get a job. i do not awant to bail out the dumb home buyers. minimal military for defence only we picky standards and unload the military that just wants a check. quit bailing people out there shit. kick out non americans and i am going to go smoke my ciggy.

You mean like how the administration did with the Republican party?
You know the fiscally responsible party.
The smaller government party.
No nation building party.
Interesting how memory is selective....must come with age.
