All European nations are of that sort. The fallacy that Europe draws its needs from the ME is American. Europe does have to deal with that A-hole Putin though.

Back what up?.....You dont watch TV or read newsprint?...as far as the refineries......just link onto any source to confrim those numbers...its easy...I picked it up watching a special about the electric auto of the 90s that was canned...by politicans in Cal. You dont think theres a lobby effort to stop the building nor stoping the oil industry and thier equipment?....just what do you want backed up that's not been a part of the national news for the last 3 decades? Hell Mr. Bush and Mr. Kerry debated the facts on national tv......nothing to do with the left or right? Hollywood almost bows at the feet of Al Gore......there is nothing any american would like better than cheap energy....but some will not even temp. open the american flow of oil....you think we are going to make over 100 refiners overnight.....without a startup cost.....several hundred billion....where is the money to come from...if not from the ones already in that business? Sure we have to convert sooner or later....but if we started today...it would be 10 years before it could become self-sufficient....what do we do in the mean time? Ride bi-cycles? No we go to the mid east and listen to all this crap about the evil americans and their greed from the left..........it time for the left to put up or shut up.......Its time for the CP crowd and the tree huggers to "BACK UP"....and put the plow behind the mule....instead of trying to get him(USA) to push it with his nose. I'll be the first to admit....we have a problem...our addiction to oil...but its like someone finally realizing...yes..we do have a problem.....now we need to adjust....make moves...change lifestyles....and take it one day at a time....just like anyone recovering from an addiction....What you want the entire country to wake up one morning with "DTs".....imagine the results....who would be the first to start crying.....would it be the self sufficient blue collar...or would it be the elitist....with their SUVs and positions of power.....then the finger pointing would start......but we do not have a shortage of mirrors in this country......and surely none are suggesting that the government take this industry out of the hands of the private sector...and be in charge.....you talk about fuel lines....with the management style of th Feds.....some want them providing healthcare...and now our energy provider......wow...sure sounds communist to me...after all we are ALL in this together....the common war cry of the commie and their social needs of the whole......BD
