They cause their own poverty by not rising up against the oil rich Middle Easterners. And by being illiterate, they depend upon their Islamic clerics to tell them what is in the Koran and what to do about infidels. If they could read, they might have a different interpretation.

Just as here, the wealthy get everything. The oppression fought against is the US backing of dictators who torture. We put the Shah of Iran in power and embraced his torturing people. Look at Bush. He sees nothing wrong with torture.

The Arabs do not want our world and our decadence and the way the Christians push destruction on other religions. Can you blame them?

OMG!!! The old "How can you hate one man?" Well, let me tell you guys something...we "libs", we deal with political and economic realities. We don't worship NOR hate one man. I don't know Bush. But I DO know his policies and he DOES sanction torture.

Well, I don't know...seems they find and confiscate an awful lot of bombs and heavily arms from the "survivalists" and how about those fundamentalists who bomb abortion clinics, kill doctors and nurses, kill gays and threaten the lives of honest women? They are more abundant in this nation than the ones you're describing. Do you suppose if we were to leave the Arab nations and take care of our own homemade terrorists like the Timothy McVeigh kind we could have a halfway decent nation here?

I consider myself liberal on several issues and conservative on others. And I'm completely aware that Muslim extremists hate our culture along with the monarchs we support like Saudi Arabia.
You used Hispanic culture as an example. It's only the people that focus on the differences and refuse to recongnize our commonalities that are up in arms. Bascially, the people that don't have a clue, don't speak one word of Spanish and don't recongnize they have been a part of this country since we annexed the Southwestern United States.
