There is absolutely nothing "progressive" about socialism or defeatism. Socialism is, in fact, the most regressive economic/political philosophy since it is counter to human nature. Defeatism is just plain evil; especially when the defeatists are citizens of the very country they want to see defeated.

"Progressive" is simply a diversion term used by liberals so they won't be called liberals anymore. It's just like "liberal" used to be the word you used when you didn't want to be called "socialists" anymore.
