Patriot Act = Hitler's Enabling Act
PRESIDENT BUSH'S PATRIOT ACT IS HITLER'S ENABLING ACT ON STEROIDS!
It is important to compare the two documents below in order to come to see what our President Bush wants for our country. Hitler and Bush used the same pretext to get these amendments passed. Hitler orchestrated the burning of the Reichstag the German Parliament building. Hitler used marinus vanderlubbe a man with mental problems as there patsy. Shortly after the burning of the Reichstag Hitler passed the Enabling Act an amendment giving Hitler dictatorial powers. President Bush used the 9/11 attack (US black-op) as a pretext to pass the USA Patriot Act. Since the passing of the Patriot Act President Bush has declared himself as above the law.
*Note --The Patriot Act below does not include everything its just a scoop from over 1000 pages of the Act.
NAZI ENABLING ACT
"Law Concerning the Solving of the Emergency of the People and the Reich, 24 March 1933"
The Reichstag has issued the following decree, which is hereby announced with the agreement of the Reich Council, after having ensured that the necessary legal constitutional amendments have been made:
Article 1 - Laws of the Reich can be passed by the government, in addition to the procedure laid down in the constitution of the Reich. This also applies to laws covered by Articles 85, para. 2, and 87 of the Reich constitution.
Article 2 - The laws passed by the Reich government do not have to adhere to the constitution provided that the institutions of the Reichstag and Reichsrat have no objection. The rights of the President of the Reich remain unaffected.
Article 3 - The laws passed by the government of the Reich will be drafted by the Chancellor and announced in the Law Gazette. They will apply, provided that no other provision is made, from the day following their publication. Articles 68-77 of the constitution do not apply to the laws passed by the government of the Reich.
Article 4 - Treaties agreed by the Reich with foreign states, which concern the constitutional affairs of the Reich, do not require the consent of the legislative institutions. The government of the Reich will issue the necessary instructions for the implementation of these treaties.
Article 5 - This law applies from the day of its publication. It will expire on 1 April 1937; it will also be annulled if the present government of the Reich is replaced by another.
PATRIOT ACT - §201. Authority To Intercept Wire, Oral, And Electronic Communications Relating To Terrorism.
- §202. Authority To Intercept Wire, Oral, And Electronic Communications Relating To Computer Fraud And Abuse Offenses.
- §203(b), (d). Authority To Share Criminal Investigative Information.
- §206. Roving Surveillance Authority Under The Foreign IntelligenceSurveillance Act Of 1978.
- §207. Duration Of FISA Surveillance Of Non-United States Persons Who Are Agents Of A Foreign Power.
- §209. Seizure Of Voice-Mail Messages Pursuant To Warrants.
- §212. Emergency Disclosure Of Electronic Communications To Protect Life And Limb.
- §214. Pen Register And Trap And Trace Authority Under FISA.
- §215. Access To Records And Other Items Under FISA.
- §217. Interception Of Computer Trespasser Communications.
- §218. Foreign Intelligence Information. (Lowers standard of evidence for FISA warrants.)
- §220. Nationwide Service Of Search Warrants For Electronic Evidence.
- §223. Civil liability For Certain Unauthorized Disclosures.
- §224. Sunset. (self-cancelling)
- §225. Immunity For Compliance With FISA Wiretap.
Provisions that are permanent (original version)
- §203(a), (c). Authority To Share Criminal Investigative Information.
- §205. Employment of Translators by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
- §208. Designation Of Judges.
- §210. Scope Of Subpoenas For Records Of Electronic Communications.
- §211. Clarification Of Scope (privacy provisions of Cable TV Privacy Act overridden for communication services offered by cable providers, but not for records relating to cable viewing.)
- §213. Authority For Delaying Notice Of The Execution Of A Warrant—"Sneak and Peek"
- §216. Modification Of Authorities Relating To Use Of Pen Registers And Trap And Trace Devices.
- §219. Single-Jurisdiction Search Warrants For Terrorism.
- §221. Trade sanctions.
- §222. Assistance To law enforcement agencies.
So this is what President Bush wants for us a Big Brother 1984 Orwellian Society. Were the government watches your every move and does whatever they want. Hitler's Enabling Act is different in that he does not talk about monitoring peoples every move, but if he had the technology that we have he would have been for it. If Hitler was alive today he would be very impressed with Bush's Patriot Act. It is anything but a Patriot Act. Its the Enabling Act on Steroids. It is important also to point out that the Patriot Act is over 1000 pages long and was passed just one month after September 11th. Congress was not allowed to even read the Patriot Act. This Act violated the constitution before it was even passed.

I do not think anyone with common sense. Republican, Democrat, Libertarian or Commie would support the Idea of sacrificing one aspect of the Bill of Rights to "fight" terrorism...
Oh yeah. What happened to fighting terrorism? Where setting up weak, decentralized, militarily moot Beauracracys in Afghanistan and Iraq...

You know man, I'm trying to wake some people up on this deal. What we need to be doing is disseminating this information to as many people as possible. I found this forum by accident and i have tried to bring facts and some smart ass humor to it. In all honesty, i am very worried about the course of actions that have taken place since 2001. Thats why i feel that the R.P revolution has gained ground, I'm also worried that if he did get elected he might end up being assassinated a la JFK..

What facts are you trying to bring? You make the implication that the Patriot Act is the reason for signing statements, which is wrong. The Patriot Act has nothing to do with signing statements so when you do that you are giving disinformation. The signing statements are a result of the abandonment of the line item veto as much as anything else, and again, have nothing to do with the Patriot Act.
Now, you can say that you don't like the Patriot Act (BTW - most, maybe including you, were NOT complaining when similar legislation was brought in the 90's and have very little idea about varios EO's such as 12949 or various PPD's), but to say that it is the Enabling Act on seroids is not an exageration . . . it is a flat out lie. Your argument would be much more effective if you didn't resort to blatant lies. Maybe you should read up on the Enabling Act, the same one that allowed Hitler to enact laws without Congress - again, don't bring up signing statements unless you can prove that the Patriot Act has anything to do with signing statements.
Also, various members of Congress may not have read the act, who knows, but they certainly weren't kept from reading it. Not only that, but they all have massive amounts of aides who had the opportunity to read it as well. This is just a lame excuse for people who voted for it to use to say they were duped . . . only in American could someone use the excuse that they were too lazy to read something that they voted for.
Plus, most of them saw it before, at least the basics. In fact, some who voted against it may have actually voted for it a few years earlier when it had a different name.

Hobbes maintained that men readily trade their liberty for security. Thomas Hobbes, Leviathan (1660). Indeed, one need only look to the Patriot Act of 2001 and the Military Commissions Act of 2006 to see that this is true.

This is not about Democrats Vs Republicans. Two parties that have destroyed America from within, by the way.
This is about the Bill of Rights. I do not care what the "war" on terror is about. I do care when America slips into a police state, damn it.
Smitty, you have no free mind. Your not even Conservative. Your a fascist Nationalist. Who does not question Government Policy because it is supposedly unpatriotic to do so.
Well, The Military is a minority in America. You willfully gave up your freedoms when you joined the Moron Core. I did not, I will not now nor ever encourage Americans to give up there civil Liberties for a false sense of security, and encourage a backwards foreign policy that lead us into terrorism.
The Patriot Act is unconstitutional. Anyone who disagrees with that is wrong! Show me where the Bill of Rights can be suspended for a war! You can not.
Bush is treasonous for this and must be held responsable. I imagine the Filthy Democrats will not repeal the Patriot Act if they get into power, so Im gonna accuse them of the same.
Your all fucking idiots for voting Republican and Democrat. and when this nation becomes a police state your idiots will wonder how it happened.
