Default Atlanta '96; Inclusion of 4

I see that my Sport Page is unhit really, and it may be due to the fact there isn't a debatable issue in the thread, so I will begin right here. In 1984, the Olympics were held in L.A., fine by me everyone should be given the opportunity to host them but then in 1996, Atlanta held the games and for a second time the United States were holding them, a little stacked don't you think when there are countless other ciies all vying for them. My objection is not that the games were given once again to the US but that way it was announced, that the winning city was Atlanta is just a crime in itself. I believe and find it completely justifiable, that the reason the games once again went to the US, was that it was the world saying this is a payback for the Kuwait efforts. Fine if that is what it was, but I don't think the world needs to be lied to so as not to show a favouritism. Hey I could be entirely wrong and Atlanta simply bought them.

Wow, we are in the middle of the World Cup Of Soccer, tournament and for some reason there were four countries representing the North and Central American group, when I really don't believe there are that many teams qualified enough to rank that many inclusions. I will concede on the fourth entrant as the result of a play-offbut that four countries still is way to much for the standard of soccer in that region. The Oceania group doesn't rank even one direct entry. Sounds unfair, especially when you consider that the only possible reason for four inclusions from the (CONCAF is it) group that the USA is in is simply so that any given time if a nation gets better than the States there is room for them to still get in.

I understand that the reason you got a World Cup Final Series was to promote the sport in the States, wicked no complaints here but there is no reason that if you can't be either of the top two in the group you should get a third or fourth chance at it. Not at this stage while the future might hold this against me that does not justify the present.

I don't say this so FIFA (which stands for Lying Pack Of C___s in French), would give Oceana a direct route to the cup, because I much prefer the option we are in right now which is we must qualify through Asia like any other team of the region. If we can't do it this way then we need the competition that it offers to us, to improve our game. But when it was given so easy to you, why was it so frustrating to have to sit at the top of our group waiting for the oppounity to beat the fifth ranked South American team and realise then that you couldn't cut it.

I am going to try me ass off to get this in the forum pages, but it may be in vain. Still I will go on. It is nothing to be ashamed of losing to anybody in the finals, just a sadness that you do because the rewards for winning are so great. Especially in Australia and the United States of America. We want our teams to succeed against the giants who play with us, taunt us with the ball just out of reach, give us that day where we can snatch it away and blast it vehemently past their keeper, goooooaaaal. That call is courtesy of the Argentinian match caller.
