The Yankees are supposed to have one of the most potent batting line ups!? BS, they could barely score against the Tigers after the first game. I even thought those jerks would start rolling and they pulled one of the most classic el foldos seen in the last 20-30 years. It was a beautiful sight.

I have always liked Joe Torre (an old CA Angel)...I hope he gets the hell out of there (NY) and takes the year off with his family (spend some time with his wife who recently survived cancer). Just relax, take care of things before he thinks about coaching anymore. He needs to be put in the MLB hall of fame, he deserves it.

They have no starting pitching. Rumor has it that there is a stud pitcher in Japan that is going to be a Yankee next year. They need it badly. Mussina and Johnson are getting old. Wright and Pavano are not ever going to be able to pitch in a big game, and Wong is not an ace on an elite team. I also heard they are looking to dump A-Rod, people in Chicago are talking about Aramis Ramirez for Rodriguez, if the Yankees pick up some of the salary. I don't think that will happen. What Rodriguez needs is to go back to a team where he can play shortstop. In my opinion the best shortstop in baseball is playing third base in New York. Jeter is great and I understand why they did not take the captain's position away, but A-Rod will eventually move back to SS and he it will be a great move for him.

If I am the Cardinals, I would trade Rolen for Rodriguez. Then move Eckstein to second. Try pitching to Pujols with Rodriguez hitting behind him. That is a tandem that can put up 90-100 HR's between them in the same year.
