Did you actually see this one though? Kent gets thrown out by ten feet for the first out at the plate and about a second and a half later La Duca tags Drew out at the plate. Two on, no outs, a hit off of the wall and the Mets get a double play! Unbelievable how this can happen in a playoff game!

Then the next guy up doubles down the line. First four hitters in the inning get hits and at that point the Dodgers had one on, with one run scored, and two outs. Right now they are losing. Maybe that is why Lasorda coached third himself.

...And they DID lose (6-5) and THOSE TWO were the damn winning runs for LA!

I just got home and saw the highlights of what you are lamenting; bad base running and base coaching (your Lasorda comment holds a lot of water my friend). Just beyond stupid, as they said on the TV, "...like little kids running bases in Tee-ball." I could not believe it when I just saw it, I did not realize this was how it went down...sorry for the confusion. The umpire behind the plate must have been laughing his ass off after calling that one (I know I would have).

If they do not win the next one it will be too much of a hole to get out of against the Mets me thinks...

...saw the last great team from them before moving from LA in '89...it is nice to see them back in the post-Murdock era. I am not sure it will be this year though.

The Dodgers are still rebuilding, this post season was a treat for the fans because at the begining of the year we would not have dreamed of it

But I will say this the Mets look beatable
