Default Look out St. Louis Cardinal fans

The Stros are right on your ass. Would be a shame to go down as the team that is responsible for the biggest choke ever. Your lead was off the charts at the start of the All-Star break.

I am a Cards fan but they have been struggling since the All Star break, they would have to have a magical turn of events to pull out the slide they are in. Sort of a a hollow shell of the team they have been the past few years.

Yep, they might not be able to make it through the first round now.

Edmunds and Carpenter will be joining Pettite and Clemens on the golf course real soon. They won't beat SD.

The Cards have been really struggling and I am very sorry to see their season end this way after such a solid start (hope for miracle). Facts are that the NL does not have team that can win the WS right now. The AL is way too strong, I think the Mets are the strongest of the NL teams but the lack a great deal of experience.

How many people think Pujols will ever see a pitch to hit with someone on? Any pitcher who gives him anything should be fined. If they advance it will be on his back in my opinion. One big hit by Pujols may get the Cards going, and like you said, the NL doesn't have a dominant team and the Cards may just get hot enough to make it to the WS. Once there, anything can happen.

They are going to have to transform into the a very hot team to survive. I really hate to have to say this about that team, i know you like those guys too. But, both the Padres and Dodgers have been hot the past few weeks and might be ready to have enough to move on. Again, none of the NL teams except the Mets are playing high % enough ball to win the whole thing...Mets will have to grow up fast to win it all. I hate the Yankees but I am realist enough to know they are playing their typical end of the year ball right now and the line up is good...pitching could be a bit a of a struggle for them though (that is the 'achilles heal' for the Yanks right now).

It seems like every team has major problems these days. Most years I'd say the Yankees don't have enough pitching to win. My $$$ is on the Twins.

You are talking about another young team...Yeah, the White Sox pulled it off with less experience last year but they were so overwhelming good through out the whole season that they lost no momentum through the play-offs. Statistically you rarely see a team that good, the closest teams to that this year are the two from NY. I would love to see MN surprise some people but they are a long shot for me.
