Default ND v. Mich. State. One for the Ages

I am not religious but I witnessed Devine Intervention this past Sat. It must have been, or Mich. State is guilty of a monumental choke. I wonder if John L. Williams hung himself on Sun. morning? What a great game, also BC and NC State. I guess the Irish used up all the miracles and left BC with no Devine Energy. Ohio State Fans, watch out for the Wolverines.

They replayed it yesterday on ESPN Classics. It will definately be one of the memorable college football games this year.

Michigan State had it coming for "planting the flag" last year. When exactly did Michigan State become such a football powerhouse that they felt they could try to disgrace such a storied college football program as Notre Dame?

Those meddling Spartans. I did like the "Liberian Nightmare" the Mich. State RB. That guy is a load, like TJ Duckett and the the Horns have Melton. These guys are pulling guards that can run.

What dou you think about Grudin and the team doc allowing Sims to play in that condition? Team mates said he was stuttering in the huddles and confused.

He damn near died.

Do you think Gruden or the team doctor knew? I was watching ESPN last night and a receiver had said that he looked like there was something wrong with him but he led them down the field to score and kept saying he was OK. I heard that about the teamates, but wasn't aware that any team officials or coaches knew about it. I don't even think the know exactly what hit did it.

I would like to think that the team doctors and coaches would care about their player's health and not send them out. Has anyone heard different?

They took him and gave him Iv and pain killer. They had to know. It was obvious watching him on the field that something was very badly wrong with him. I was shocked when he came back. The St. Pete paper had a picture of the hit that did it, how do you think they knew when it happened. The symptons were clasic for spleen injuries. A simple palpating would have found it immediately. I agree with Spitty.

I am biased, as a Longhorn, I am not really a Chris Sims fan. I would have rather he went somewhere else. They started him over Senoir Major Applewhite and Sims cost us the Big 12, maybe even the National Championship. That was the year Nebraska won without winning the Big 12 conf. and having 1 loss.

On ESPN last night they showed a hit that they thought might have caused it, but they didn't know for sure. They implied that it could have been any number of hits.

Maybe they can narrow it down now, but I was under the impression that they didn't know at the time.
