The media does not want McCain's victory over cancer to inspire Americans.

McCain was a POW, he doesn't need cancer survival to inspire Americans. I don't care if the media covers the story. I am proud of the kid.

Considering, Guillen, Billy Butler, Alex Gordan, Mark Tehean and David DeJesus, these aren't the Royals of the past. This Kid threw lights out. Had command of all his pitches and grew with confidence after each pitch. The Royals looked like Deer looking at Headlights.

Last time I checked this was a baseball thread...

Do you even know what a pitcher does in baseball? And no, there are no 'slam dunks' or 'touchdowns' in baseball....

Two WS wins in 4 years and now no hitters in consecutive years. The Red Sox are without a doubt the dominant franchise in baseball.

They have been way, way overdue.

I am just sorry Ted Williams was never part of a WS winning team. Might be the greatest player to ever take the field; Boston has some legendary names to have gone through that franchise.

Oh, BTW, got to go to Angel Stadium on my BD last week with my brother and sister...first time I had been there in over 20 years. Very fun even though the Angels got killed by the White Sox that night (bad decision by Scocia in the 7th, dumb idea to load the bases with no outs...next batter hits it out on the first pitch).

I still think Busch studium (St. Louis) is the best...Angel staduim still has the best freeway and parking access though, it was placed in the perfect spot for that...my dad always loved going there and hated going to Dodger stadium (terrible parking and traffic).
