Default defenses and next week

I will say this...the best of the defenses today was Texas... they will need to even go a step further against the firepower OSU has...I think Lou Holtz has it right though, the big question will be if OSU can stop Texas because they gave up for too much yardage from a much lesser team (NIU) today.

I don't like OSU, but I hope they beat Texas. OSU has more potential losses on their schedule than Texas does and if Texas doesn't lose to OSU they have a better chance of going undefeated.

Oklahoma and Nebraska might be tough games, but I think the performance of Colorado today showed how the Big Twelve is a tad bit down from previous years.

USC won 50 -14............1st quarter USC offense looked weak (esp. compared to last season) the defense was superb. The offense got it together and looked pretty good after tthe start of the second quarter

Sounds good, OU looked weak on offense early in the game but came out after half to beat them.

UAB is my alma mater. They always come close against quality
teams like OU and then stink up the joint when they play SMU
and teams like that.

Arkansas handed that game to them, this didn't show a damn thing about USC. Houston Nutt needs to be fired from Ark, what a bunch of stupid mistakes in that game for the Hogs, AND AT HOME NO LESS! Two years losing like this to USC and they have been losing some other crucial SEC games too. Nutt failed to start Mitch Mustain...this was dumb and the bad offensive problems showed it, Nutt has nots of time to prepare for this and just did not have his guys even close to ready..
