Look, I'm not a big Leinhart fan because he plays for Arizona. I just know he showed promise during his rookie year and, as a 49er fan, I would much rather have Matt than Alex Smith. I also think blaming whatever on field problems Leinhart has had on girls and beer is rather shallow.
As for Vince Young, I looked up a few stats. In 2006 Young had a passer rating of 66.7, 30th out of 31 NFL QBs. Last year, things didn't get much better, as he threw for 9 TDs and 18 interceptions. His OB rating was 71.1, not exactly lighting it up is he? Like in college, it appears it's all about his legs and less about his arm.
You're also incorrect in claiming that Leinhart's QB rating "sucks" compared to Young. For their two years in the pros Leinhart has a career QB rating of 71.2 compared to Young's 69.
My point is this, putting Young up as an example of success while declaring Leinhart a failure is way too premature.
