It is done...I did say that any NL team was going run into a whirling fan blade that is the Red Sox.

Did the RS set a series team batting average record? They were eluding to that but I have not seen it as for sure.

Congrats to Mike Lowell, what a great series and very humble guy.

Like I stated before, an 8 day layoff is just too much to overcome.

The way that Colorado played had me asking myself how they even made it to the World Series.

Great job by the Red Sox, they are the dominant franchise in baseball. The Red Sox finished with the second-highest batting average (.333) in World Series history. Only the 1960 Yankees (.338) had better.

That is saying something because you are talking about Mantle, Maris, Howard, Kubek, Boyer. This is line-up who were not above .300 individually but as a team were overwhelming in WS.

Have you all forgot they(Rockies) did not play for 8 days. That is huge in baseball. If the game would have been 5 days sooner, it would have been way different.

It may have been different. We do not care. Those are the breaks. If Grady Little had pulled Pedro earlier in game 7 vs the Yanks in 2003, things might have been different. We will never know.

Excuses? It wouldn't have been any different. The Red Sox were a far better team.
